Home Remedy Cleaning Solutions
Baking Soda & Water
Combine baking soda and a small amount of water to form a paste.
Apply gently on the jewelry using a soft cloth or brush.
Rinse with lukewarm water and dry thoroughly.
Toothpaste
Use a minimal amount of non-gel, non-whitening toothpaste.
Apply gently using a soft brush, rinse, and dry using a soft cloth.
Aluminum Foil & Baking Soda (Deep Cleaning for Silver)
Line a bowl with aluminum foil (shiny side up).
Add hot water, 1 tbsp baking soda, and 1 tbsp salt.
Put jewelry in for 5–10 minutes.
Rinse and dry. (This removes tarnish by chemical reaction).
Lemon Juice & Water (for light tarnish)
Mix lemon juice with a small amount of water.
Soak the jewelry for 1–2 minutes, then rinse and dry.
⚠️ Don't use this method for fragile gemstones.
Prevention Tips
Place jewelry in airtight pouches or cloth bags containing anti-tarnish material.
Include silica gel packets or chalk inside the jewelry box to keep it dry.
Stay away from perfumes, lotions, hair sprays, and perspiration.
Take off jewelry while bathing, swimming, or engaging in sports.
Clean jewelry lightly with a soft cloth after every use.
